Do I actually still work? Absolutely, I just work differently
One question I get asked quite a lot is, 'Do you actually still work?' I always smile because I can see why people ask, but I do, in fact, work incredibly hard. The difference is that I've spent years building a life where my work gives me choices rather than taking them away ... Working differently doesn't mean I'm not working at all. In fact, I still work hard, just in a different way This year alone, I've been able to spend time with friends and family, some camping, some cycling, some freebies, and stays in lovely hotels, including Fuerteventura, Lapland, Spain, Bude, Naples, Wales, Scotland and Toulouse. I've also enjoyed a festival with friends, as I was able to say yes to opportunities that I might once have turned down due to the normal four- or five-week holiday constraints of paid employees needing to ask the boss for time off.
