For a long time, I've had my eyes firmly fixed on my next promotion at the utility company I work with. It's still something I want to achieve, but somewhere along the way, I realised I'd become so focused on getting there that I'd forgotten to enjoy where I already was ... Sometimes you need to stop being the bee and become the honey instead! If you've ever walked a long-distance trail, you'll know exactly what I mean. If all you do is stare at the finish line, you'll miss the countryside, the conversations, the unexpected discoveries and the moments that make the whole journey worthwhile.
