For a long time, I've had my eyes firmly fixed on my next promotion at the utility company I work with. It's still something I want to achieve, but somewhere along the way, I realised I'd become so focused on getting there that I'd forgotten to enjoy where I already was ...

Sometimes you need to stop being the bee and become the honey instead!

Sometimes you need to stop being the bee and become the honey instead!

If you've ever walked a long-distance trail, you'll know exactly what I mean. If all you do is stare at the finish line, you'll miss the countryside, the conversations, the unexpected discoveries and the moments that make the whole journey worthwhile.

Lately, I've found myself walking much closer to home instead
of always searching for the next big adventure!

The funny thing is, the location was never the important part. Walking has always given me space to think, create, reflect and reset. I just hadn't realised I'd started treating it as another destination to conquer instead of the opportunity to breathe that it had always been.

That realisation has made me think about my business too. I started it because I genuinely love helping people improve their lives, save money, create opportunities and believe that they can achieve more than they ever imagined.

Somewhere amongst the targets and promotions, I'd begun chasing success instead of simply sharing what I love. I don't want to be the bee constantly buzzing from place to place looking for the next opportunity. I'd much rather become the honey that naturally attracts the right people because I'm being myself.

That's why you'll probably notice a change
in what I share going forward!

You'll still see business, personal development and ideas to help you build the life you want, but you'll also see more of the things that fill my own cup. Time spent walking, moments at my caravan in beautiful Bude, quiet reflections, lessons I've learned and the everyday experiences that remind me why I started this journey in the first place.

If my message is "Design a life you love", then it starts with me making sure I'm living one too.

Until next time ...

About Davina Farrer ...

Davina Farrer

I’ve always believed life is too short to sit still and wait for “someday.” From travelling the world in my twenties to taking on challenges like long-distance coastal walks, I’ve built a life around adventure, freedom, and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.

After becoming a mum, I wanted a way to be present for my family while still creating an income and future for myself. That led me to build a flexible, residual income business that fits around real life - not the other way round. Today, I help others do the same, showing them how to reduce their bills and create more choice with their time.

For me, it’s not just about money - it’s about freedom. Freedom to travel, take on new challenges, and be there for the moments that matter most. If you’re looking for a way to create more flexibility, more income, and more life in your days, you’re in the right place.
