There's something deeply rewarding about being recognised for the work you do. Recently, I was honoured to receive a Silver Award for Customer Service ...

Doing what you love and being recognised for it is a fulfilling and rewarding experience

Doing what you love and being recognised for it is a fulfilling and rewarding experience

Last week, I was proud to be named a finalist in not one, but two categories at the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce SME Awards. These were the Best Business Person in Bedfordshire and the Best Business in Bedford.

While I didn't take home the top prize, simply reaching the
finals felt like an achievement worth celebrating!

To get there, we had to demonstrate expertise, leadership, success and the impact of our work. Knowing that others saw and acknowledged that effort meant a great deal to me, but for me, these awards are about far more than trophies or certificates.

They recognise the commitment, passion and consistency that go into building a business and helping people every day. I genuinely love what I do. I have the privilege of leading, mentoring and supporting people to improve their lives by helping them save money on their everyday household bills. Seeing the difference that makes is what motivates me.

As business owners, many of us struggle to share our achievements without feeling like we are showing off. Visibility matters. Whether it's entering awards, collecting testimonials, sharing client success stories, or speaking about the results you help others achieve, these are all ways to demonstrate your value. It's not about bragging; it's about giving people confidence in what you do and showing the impact of your work.

If you've ever considered entering an award, my advice is simple: go for it. You might win, you might not, but the process itself is a fantastic opportunity to reflect on your achievements and celebrate your progress.

You'll be able to recognise how far you've come.

Until next time ...

About Davina Farrer ...

Davina Farrer

I’ve always believed life is too short to sit still and wait for “someday.” From travelling the world in my twenties to taking on challenges like long-distance coastal walks, I’ve built a life around adventure, freedom, and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.

After becoming a mum, I wanted a way to be present for my family while still creating an income and future for myself. That led me to build a flexible, residual income business that fits around real life - not the other way round. Today, I help others do the same, showing them how to reduce their bills and create more choice with their time.

For me, it’s not just about money - it’s about freedom. Freedom to travel, take on new challenges, and be there for the moments that matter most. If you’re looking for a way to create more flexibility, more income, and more life in your days, you’re in the right place.
